Audio Upgrade
Really disappointed with the HiFi system on my car.
Underwhelmed with all aspects: highs, mids, lows and overall volume. Bavsound is more than I want to spend but also need plug and play system because of lease. Crutchfield shows that these will fit: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_975MS4...BMW-2.html?l=C Anyone have any experience with these? Thinking that they may compensate at least for volume if I do the fronts and rears |

I have the full Bavsound set up (stage 1 plus underseat ghost woofers). They sound great, but they won't be louder. I doubt any new set of speakers will make them louder, but the clarity may improve. Unfortunately when they switched to the current generation, they got rid of the easy to replace amp, which I don't believe anyone has an easy solution for.

I used ETON speakers for BMW. You can see the details of the installation with pics here: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...9&postcount=13 The sound is much clearer, more natural and precise. All in all, loud listening is now a pleasing experience. The volume level is the same as before with factory speakers. I decided to skip the replacement of floor woofers as my research showed that replacing them doesn't do much without upgrading the amp. Unfortunately, G series cars with HiFi system have amps that cannot be upgraded as the amp is integrated in the headunit which was not the case with the F series cars that had a standalone amp. |
