Dealer offer
Couldn't find an any spec available locally or within my dealer's network for an M340i that includes some of my preferred options. My dealer offered to submit a build (attached photos of what I want).
Dealer offered $500 off + my company sales program rebate of $1000. So $1500 off. In this current market, is this reasonable? Or should I try for better? Last edited by darthry; 04-02-2024 at 10:43 PM.. |

I just purchased in March and I believe this to be fair for the M340. The problem is, the M340 is not a volume car like the 330 or other models. There is a market but it’s not the same. So the dealer has more leeway to charge what they do on this particular model, especially because they only get a few allocated per month.

When I bought my 2021 M340i they gave me 8% off on a special order, and sat with me at their computer while they configured all the options to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.. Maybe because it was the 2nd car I bought from them (last one was a 2015), but it wasn’t a big negotiation to get the discount.

Bought an M340i two weeks ago. 5.5% off MSRP and a second dealership offered 5% off as well.
From what I’ve read, around 5% seems to be the average, and great deals are around 10% off. Both of these deals didn’t include any BS dealer addons either. Just the standard $699 doc fee and sales tax. |

Update: they were open to my pricing requests and managed to get 5% off MSRP plus my incentives.
Order should be placed in the morning. States they have an allocation available with a 3-4 month ETA. Now I wait… patiently… |
