Took delivery of my F40 yesterday and the dealer hadn’t got the update yet. So I have to go back when they have it available.

As mentioned, no not yet. Wifi is re-enabled, but AA/Carplay are not there as yet.

They called me today to make an appointment for tomorrow for activation of carplay . If it's the same for me , i simply don't understand why they make the recall , because wi-fi without carplay or android auto makes no sense.

It's possible they enabled things on the backend today, i'll check my side when i'm back in later in the week.

I think you forgot to attach the document? :P

This sounds exactly the same as my case. My guess is that now Wi-Fi is active, they can enable the remote software push of CarPlay as it should just be an activation code

It is attached , but you have to download via a broswer. I don't see the attachment in the app .

It is a problem from connected drive . They don't see that the updated had been done and they don't provide the MGU with the smartphone interface . I have allready called them , and they are funny . They ask me to get the car to Germany , although i have explained to them that the car is in Romania and i called Connected Drive Germany support because we don't have customer service in our country .

So i will keep you updated asap i have updates.

There were also some different problems with Connected Drive the recent days. You couldn't buy things due to issues with the payment provider. That's resolved since yesterday.

So maybe in general there are some issues with the Connected Drive system.

So glad I found this thread, had my 420i G26 for a month now and the Carplay missing has been confusing me. Just tried to do a software update today but nothing available yet. I guess I will just have to keep trying and waiting.

Just a quick update from my Dealer(Chester UK) who tells me that the update will be rolled out at the end of June start of July. That is only the start of the roll out, there are lots of cars to be updated. Who knows where in the queue your car will be.

He tells me it will be done via the BMW app which will update the car on next start up. He seems quite certain that a visit to the dealer will not be necessary. It looks like we will all have to be very patient. Keep smiling!
