Android Auto vs In-built Satnav Safety?

Hi All,

I am under the impression that when going on a journey and following the in-built satnav, that the car is 'influenced' by the route being followed. For example if there is a tight bend coming up it anticipates if i am going too fast and slows me down. Is this true?

Does Android Auto do the same?

I think that is when you are in adaptive driving mode.

If you have adaptive the car will anticipate corners, bumps etc. and change the suspension stiffness based on your route which only works with the BMW built-in navigation. It isn't going to slow you down if you are driving too fast. This video is often posted as a good explainer

If you have Driver Assistant Professional with adaptive cruise control it will slow for corners, the standard cruise control won’t and the car won’t do it on its own without cruise control engaged either.

Mine will slow for corners (and other things such as junctions, cars in front slowing, etc.) in eco-pro mode rather than coasting. But I do have DAP, so I’m not sure whether it’s that or not.
