It's just ok. BMW is losing me lately.
Not liking the design language that much and definitely not liking the current leasing programs. Not that they care but they could lose a long time customer in the near future. |

It's like when you go to some of new mass-built housing tracts and look at these wannabe Mediterranean-Spanish-French-Tuscan box homes. It literally looks like they take one of everything from the home styling accessory bins and add them to the exterior of the homes in varying combinations. Of course on the inside it's a wash of one of everything from the black-gray-white-steel modern design theory. Put it all together and #what? Have you never been to the Mediterranean? I've digressed, but can't we just have a clean and simple series model and a fender-flared M with a mildly aggressive bumper and call it a day?

So many haters here immune to change.
This car looks JUST FINE. Let's worry about what ACTUALLY matters: how it drives. |

Love the lines (including the "fastback" roofline)....but is it me, or do the wheels need spacers to align more with the fenders. It would look so much more muscular with the wheels/tires pushed out a tad wider.

Dear BMW -
Hope you're listening. Throw the wrap back on it and don't take it off until it's better ... But I can say that I like seeing foglights But it's quite busy up front...let's see where it goes / gets to from here.

you're not allowed to say that anymore. they purposely made it "different"

I happen to think that with this new 3, they have raised the bar, the amount of features are impressive, laser light anyone... and i belive BMW have done improvements on the driving as well, can't wait for the touring.

Overall it appears to be a good looking, aggressive sedan to me
Like any car, there are a couple things I could nitpick. But why focus on a couple negatives, when there are so many more positives to be seen?

I want to like it...but the grill and entire front bumper looks too busy. Like making a squished face. The back looks like an S5 sportback and it looks bloated. Ayyyyy why BMW??

It seems to have a fat ass. And not in a good way. The flared fenders look like flabby saddlebags rather than muscular haunches. Proportions seem off too with the hood to long and back to fat and stubby. I'm sure it must look better in person. Glad I have my 2015 M235i and it's in good shape because I may want to skip a model before I can trade it in. I may have to get 100,000+ miles out of it...
