Wobbly drives
I think I'm going crazy soon. For one I don't remember if my car behaved like this BEFORE I switched to winter tyres or not.. I only had the car a couple of weeks before I had to change.
In motorway speeds I feel like the car is behaving strange and wobbly, not really stable like if there are hard winds catching it. Know how I mean? It's really disturbing as I want it to be stuck on the tarmac and make me feel secure even when just switching lanes carefully. It doesn't shake, it's just randomly throws you left/right, usually on 60-70mph or above it's most noticeable. I think it could be the tires but then again I'm not sure until I put my summer tires on which should be in a month max.. Anyone has ideas on what it could be? I'm on stock suspension and not M-sport suspension even though it's M package. The 330e for some reason didn't include that. Could that be the reason though? It's still a heavy premium car and shouldn't float around like that with stock suspension.. Anyone else experiencing what I feel or is there something wrong with my car or tires? Or something else? The tires are staggered 19" setup with 255 in the rear and 225 in the front. Brand is Nokian Hakkapellita WR A4... Worth mentioning is I do have spacers on, 12,5mm in front and 10mm in back, could that be a possible reason? |

Alignment. Had same issue w my F30 when switching summer/winter set up. My dealer said my alignment was fine and wasn't needed. Took to a high end European tuner shop near me and it was way outta whack. After the alignment was done it was perfect.
Even brand new vehicles can have issues w alignment. Also, check your tire pressure.

Coming from an F30 I'm really coming to despise the steering - Ironic as I do prefer the directness but just can't get on with it at highway speeds. I actually find it fatiguing over long distances and prefer driving my wife's Ford Fiesta.

How weird that I just noticed this too!!
I activated the lane control with steering intervention and i noticed how the car became "wobly"!!!!! I could nto believe it, but after a few trial runs, the steering becomes jello when the steering intervention is on and its difficult to keep the car straight!!! anyone know more about this?
