No more grocery hooks or net in the trunk?
I recently picked up my M340 with the raised spare tire type trunk liner.
Coming from a F30 340, I'm used to having the net on the trunk liner, and the grocery hooks, which make shopping runs very convenient. The new car has neither. Does anyone know if there is a way to add these in? |

In Europe, it's an option and it's also a part of some optional packages.
It should be standard in USA, but probably the hooks and net doesn't go in combination with space-saver spare.

Interesting. Did not know that.
Can someone without the space saver spare in the US chime in with whether they have the net and the hooks? |

in the 7 series, you lose the net anchors on the floor when you have the space saver spare. I imagine the 3 series is the same way. May just have to get some generic net with anchors that you can screw into the floor or side walls.

This is standard in Europe. There should be hooks somewhere. I have not found them yet. Will look later. But there are only nets on the side. Not the big one to stall things under.

It depends from the country / market. It's not standard everywhere.

I wonder if I can just look up the part number for that hook and order it. Here's what mine looks like. Notice the higher floor due to the spare tire. Does yours have a net on the floor? |

I think I found the hook.
It's part number 51477258562 from what I can tell. I doubt this is something that's changed much over the years: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...k/51477258562/ |

Here is your pro tip for this one.. I bought a couple grocery bag hooks from a VW Passat and have been moving them to each new 3-series I have gotten. They are spring loaded and fold up automatically when not in use and work perfectly to secure a bunch of bags. I have 2 of them installed in my trunk.
https://www.amazon.com/Cargo-Trunk-P...R3B2HJYBP05EZZ I use a small self tapping sheet metal screw to secure it to the top of the trunk. If you do this, please make sure that there is nothing on the other side of the body panel you drill into, look for wires, and make sure you don't drill through to the outside, be very careful. Also be sure to leave clearance for the trunk floor to swing up to the holder clip thing. Alex.

For US versions: If you have no spare tire, do you still get the cargo
net that attaches to the trunk floor? If not, are there still the plastic "hooks" on the trunk floor? Thanks |
