Look who’s back!
Came bang on 4pm on the dot.

So the .70 software update doesn’t fix it either.

Booked in for the official fix update (version unknown) on Monday!

To be honest I’m secretly pleased because I want to be on the latest software version anyway. Apparently in a version coming soon, the remote software update feature will actually work (doesn’t yet according to my dealer when in for .70 update), so should make dealer visits for updates a thing of the past, but will render the vehicle immobile while it does it, so needs planning in say overnight.

So I take it we need to book the car in for an update before the over the air update works?.........

Mine is still on .50 or .55, I can’t remember which one but if I go in to the Connected website and enter my VIN number it says that there’s no new updates for my car.

That’s my understanding.

I was told by the dealer the remote software update isn’t currently active, but soon will be. Will try and ask for more detail when in for latest update!...

I just haven’t got time to be booking the car in at the moment as this is our busiest time of year.

So the latest version as of today (18/11/2019) and now installed in my car is 11/2019.30. This is the one (and presumably subsequent) that BMW say officially fixes this.

Previously I was on 07/2019.55.

I asked about the remote software upgrade and if that was working and he didn’t seem to know. Got the impression it doesn’t work yet and it’s something that may be in the pipeline.

Can’t see much else difference with iDrive as yet, although there’s some settings to do with the personal assistant and how it behaves when you do/don’t have passengers in that I’d not noticed before, but that might just be that I’ve not spotted them. Oh and the widgets displays in the centre seem to show me more stuff, like when am looking at the tiled view and minimised map, it’s showing a traffic status on there that looks more detailed than I had previously but again it could just be more that there wasn’t any info on route previously.

Received it this week. Just came back from the dealer. Told me there's no update available yet at their system but I should check back in a couple of weeks. It's a known error.

Currently I'm running 07/2019.30. Haven't received any updates, I got the car a month ago.

There is an update from .30, mine got to .55 about 3 weeks ago at the dealer, it didn't fix the brake fluid problem though, it came back last week!? Over the air updates are only working for maps at the moment, from what I can see...

I started on 07/2019.53. Went in and was upgraded to 07/2019.55 but that was on the basis it wasn’t guaranteed to fix it (it didn’t).
BMW have now formally acknowledged there is a fix and that’s what I’ve been in for this week, it’s 11/2019.30 so assume the leading number is the month??...

Anyway, so far on this it’s been fine but only on day 3!

Over the air updates are in the pipeline but don’t do anything yet, according to my local dealership.

The joys of another dealer visit. Last time my lease company sorted me out with a Citroen C3 Aircross. Oh man... :-(

My dealer has updated my 330e on wednesday to fix the issue with the brake fluid warning.
Today I've noticed that whether I put it in sport, electric or Hybrid, the digital digital cockpit stays on Hybrid..
I've been to the dealer but my 330e was the first one they've updated and they don't know how they can fix it. The are going to call BMW München about the issue...

I just had my iDrive updated to 11/2019.34 last week. Hoping this solves the bloody problem. But don't expect your dealer to know anything about it. I had to push quite hard for them to notice there was even a software update available!? As to whether it solves the problem, who knows...

Annoyingly it also resets all the fuel consumption metrics when you get an update, I've got no idea how many of my 4500 miles were done on electric.. Not a difficult thing to do to hold the previous consumption figures and update the variables back again after update...

Mine has also been fine for a good 3 weeks now on v2019.11.30. You need this version or above as this is the version where BMW formally acknowledged the fix, according to my local dealer, Sandal Huddersfield.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, 2019.07.55 or 2019.07.70 are older versions than 2019.11.30+...

Get your dealer told!

Happened Twice

5 of us reps got 2019 330e's. 4 out of 5 have this problem.
Mine has been reset once (Wollaston BMW Northampton) lasted 2 weeks. Then.... The dashboard went COMPLETELY BLANK whilst driving, when it returned the brake fluid warning was back. Wollaston BMW are now saying they won't fix it as BMW know this is an issue. So I'm stuck with it. Oh and the app no longer works either.

Try telling them that BMW Genius told you there was a new software version that fixes the problem and to go and have a bloody look on their system. I had to escalate and kick up a bit of a stink to get mine done 11/2019.34

Or try another dealer...?

I just went in to my dealer on Thursday and told a very helpful salesman of my issues and that I’d read on this forum of the 11/2019.34 update that appeared to solve the issues. He took me in to his office and input my VIN in to “The system” and said we’ll sort this for you next Tuesday. Let’s see
