Connected app down?

I haven't had any issues since purchasing with the app (remote starting, 360 view, locking/unlocking, etc). Over the past few days it's been down and I keep getting an error. Tried logging out of both the app and Connected Drive through iDrive and rebooted iDrive as well. Still nothing.

Could it just be down right now?

You'll have to check what version of the software (i.e. 3/2019, 7/2019, 11/2019) you're currently running. I have had issues until I went to the dealer and updated to 11/2019.41. It's been by far the most stable update so far. All the connected drive app functions seem to work much more reliably. Report back with the version and let us know.

I'm in 11.2019.29. It's never failed until now and I use the remote start pretty much every day.

Working perfectly again! Found a post from a member in the X5 forum.

"Please go to iDrive home page, Click APPS, On the next page press OPTION Hardkey and then update services"

Works fine down here in NZ. Just had my G20 M340i upgraded to 11.2019.55 this morning and all of the remote services have been working fine since.

I tried this but unfortunately it still does not work. How can I check which version is the software in? Everyone talks about the latest version working just fine and I picked up my new 340i less than a day ago but I cannot get any connected app things to work. Even the location and fuel are wrong

Just checked the app and it hasn’t updated since January 31. I’ll try resetting apps in the car.

I think I broke mine by upgrading to iOS 14 Beta.
