Pre-Applied Ceramic Pro Coating- IND Painted Reflectors

About to pull the trigger on some painted side reflectors and noticed the option to include a Pre-Applied Ceramic Pro Coating for $29.00. I don't understand the up-sell...are the standard painted reflectors good enough or is the ceramic coating a must have? Is there an aesthetic difference between the standard & Coated versions?

These will be for a 2020 Sapphire Black 340i.

Advice is appreciated! Thank you.

I just installed the plain ones without the coating. 2 days ago seems good enough to me I applied a layer of wax when waxing the car. if it doesn't hold up iND has a really good customer service. I am sure they will make it right.

I asked them the same question about the 2 extra opting. This is what they said:

Thank you for your email. The install pry tool kit will include a bondo spreader and nylon pry tool. This will help remove the stock reflectors. As for the ceramic coating we offer this for those that have their car ceramic coated already so they don't need to go back to their installer to get it re-applied to this piece. It is a chemical finish that bonds to the paint to ensure a higher gloss and make cleaning much easier. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah, I assume it's for people who already have ceramic coating on their car. I put some PPF on the ones I got because the front clip of the car has PPF so I wanted it to blend in better.

Correct, we also put wax on them before shipping if Ceramic coating is not selected.
