Critique my spec!

I'll be sticking in my order early next week. Can't keep hanging on for a business decision over alternatives - want to start reaping the tax savings ASAP!

I have been checking things out and come up with this:

330e MSport
Sunset Orange with Oyster / Black interior.
Sun protection glass
Lumbar support
Extended storage
Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging
Driving Assistant Pro

*or*

would you swap Driving Assistant Pro for the MSport Plus pack? I could also add lumbar support with this, but not enhanced bluetooth or extended storage.

Thats a decent spec.

I was going to go for the tech pack, comfort pack, lumbar, oak trim and the 360 camera setup. I'll be getting tints done myself locally, as its only £120.

I look at from the point of view, that what will i get the most out of in terms of options, the HK stereo is a huge upgrade from standard so i thought the techpack was a better pack rather than the Driving Assistant Pro. Its all down to what you think will be better for you.

Actually, that's a good point - I could probably get HK in the top one if I was careful with choices - probably dropping sun protection and maybe enhanced bluetooth. But doesn't the MSport come with the BMW advanced speaker upgrade anyway? - I had that in a 120d and thought it was adequate, if not amazing. (But the HK system isn't as good as the Bose I had in my Alfa 156 or JBL in my Mk2 Prius)

Sounds good. I had to play around with combinations. Sadly couldn't stretch to the plus pack so settled for HK. Sun protection. Ext.storage and heated wheel. Grey with Black leather and alu mesh trim.

I thought it was just the m340i that came with advanced as standard but I might be wrong. The 330e m sport that I test drive definitely had a poor stock system. I also have the advanced in my m140i and the standard setup in the 330e was poor in comparison.

The HK in the 3 series is a very good system. The smaller cars have fewer speakers,
Woofers etc so a 1 or 2 series isn't as good. My wife's 2018 mini has the HK system but it isn't a patch on the one in my 3 series.
I think it's a very good option to spec.

The M Sport Plus pack adds some great benefits with both visual and performance additions 🤔

You can't order advanced on a 330e MSport, hence I assumed it must have advanced as standard.

Depends on what type of driving you do, I couldn't live without the driving assistant pro now having had it, regular m25 bullshit and London driving means stress free with the DAP. I feel that the speaker system in the 330e (standard) is more than adequate for CarPlay/ dab radio so no point in the HK imo

It looks good and the adaptive suspension is a great addition - but... I don't order company cars for performance, I order for comfort, ease of driving, refinement and tax efficiency.

A body kit and big alloys don't do any of the above!

The HK in the G20 is very good. Much better than in the G30. I also wouldn't be without the high beam assist/laser lights or active cruise.

Love the Oyster interior.

The black in mine is so somber.

Personally I would swap the M Sport pack for Driving Assistant.

One of the few good things about being a private buyer is you can tick all the boxes you want..........the downside is you have to write the cheque out!!

We used to be able to tick more boxes and just pay the extra on the monthly lease - but too many people were ordering blinged up company cars, then leaving mid lease, with the company having to pick up the extra lease costs even when reallocated to new starters. Sadly, it now means no 'overspending' to get that option you really want. (in my case, a tow bar on top of the other options)

Oyster interior is a must have - my current 520d is in Mediterranean Blue with Oyster leather and turbine wheels.

Oyster is stunning, sadly ive got kids, so it would stay lovely for about 3 milliseconds!

Were quite lucky, we can still add a decent amount of options, i have to trade up for the 330E msport, but its still only costing me £190, which is great value considering what i pay for my current volvo.

We too can spec up. I have 330e, mineral grey, cognac, extended storage, driver assist pro and towbar. Would agree with DAP over MSport package.

Just playing the waiting game til mid June delivery!

Oyster is no problem.
Everything just wipes off with BMW leather cleaner.

Park assist plus is a great extra that doesn’t cost a huge amount.

Oyster looks great with the SO, I'd go for the M Sport Plus pack, the upgraded brakes are great

I'm coming down on the side of having the Driver Assist Pro pack as I spend most of my time on motorways and in traffic. Especially M25 / London and the M4 from Bristol to Cardiff.

Anything that keeps you awake on the M4 is good.

Has to be the most boring road in the world.

I used to like the M4 when I first started in a field management role - it was fast, relatively traffic free and predictable.

These days, it can be like the M25 at times - and the Welsh section is one of the worst stretches of motorway in the country, with queueing Eastbound starting at Cardiff at 6am and coming back the other way it's heavy from Magor from 2pm. Removing the bridge tolls has made it significantly worse.

I drove from Chippenham to Bracknell on the M4 today (and onwards to Wimbledon) - by late morning, the muppets were out in force, with people who obviously have no bloody idea about motorway driving making it worse than at 8am on a Monday morning. Meandering into lane 3 at 50mph seemed to be the biggest issue.
