I removed the license plate holder and removed the small padding in the back that I have placed. The padding was less than 0.5cm thick.

Reinstalled everything and it's no longer tripping the PDC sensors. I think the system may be too sensitive and picking up padding for some reason. It will go off when I pull into a parking spot and if I am closer to an obj but seems the plate does make the system think that there is something closer.

Overall, seems like it's working well now.
Awesome, good to hear!

So my new plates finally came and went to install my old US mills mount and it didnt fit obviously. I been hearing mixed reviews on a good alternative that sometimes trip the sensors. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have never messed with tow hook holders.

When / if I need to put a plate up, I have always used heavy duty double sided type as they use in many European countries. Heck, that's how BMW delivers ED cars. My .02c

Here is my old E92 at delivery.

It will make the sensors crazy. But I managed to avoid it by putting the license lower and aside a little.

Please don't take this the wrong way but I never understood why people used tow hooks to install front plates after their bumper has already been drilled with (4) holes in your case.

I attached three neodymium magnets inside the bumper shell on my F32, then put a rubberized magnet (they make them for dealers to slap a plate on a car for a test drive) on the back of my plate. Takes only seconds to remove or attach it, and it's held over thousands of freeway miles.

I got it from ebay. Just search BMW G20 front lip. But I won't recommend this front lip, it's so crisp during winter and I broke it on the next week I installed them.....

I know, dealership drilled the hold while I'm finishing all the paperwork with them, which also destroyed my PPF. In next year summer I'll fix those four terrible holes on my bumper 😤😤😭

Damn. 4 from the holder and 3 from the plates, from the looks of it. I’m afraid I’ll find something very similar when I take mine out next week to work on the grill.

The big holes can be filled using those bumper plugs for BMW. The small ones no idea. Maybe putty all the holes and repaint is another option?

So, I went with the Platypus mount, and it is not tripping my sensors. It is not as solid as the US Mills mount I used to have, but it is doing the job.

Prose1, thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm surprised this hasn't been acknowledged more. I recommended these to a few friends already.

I did exactly the same thing! My dealer gave me the option of not having holes drilled (my previous dealer didn't), and told me about the tow-hook mount. I looked online, and really just didn't like what I saw.

Then I ordered a SlyBrackets plate mount that mounts directly on the horizontal slats. However, I didn't realize that the lower area also had dynamic shutters, so I had to improvise and science the bracket a bit. I just removed the big u-bolts with springs on them, and then used shorter bolts than what the package came with. Worked perfectly!

Us Millworks license plate bracket?

wanted to ask if anyone with a G20 is using a license plate bracket from
US Mill Works? I'm currently using one on my F36 M-Sport, but I'm wondering if the bolt will fit the G20, and if not which bolt I should buy since US Mill Works hasn't updated their website or answers emails.

The F series bolt is too short. I reached out to US Millworks several times about getting a longer bolt, but no response.

I wonder if they just stopped producing their product to current models? I've sent over 5 emails since I knew that I was getting a G20.
The car is still not in the US but I wanted to get ahead and get the parts needed.
Thanks for replying.
