IMO they were more comfortable, ran quieter, and had comparable performance to the Bridgestone S001. I've not run the newer GY ASY 3, but the reviews seem to be good, and suggest they are indeed an updated/improved version of the ASY 2. I'm looking to switch the god awful Bridgestone Turanza that it came out of the factory with to the Eagle 3 myself....

I have Potenza's and they have been pretty good also but have heard and read non RFT's give a much more comfortable ride and with the PS' having such a good rep it seemed an obvious choice.

I have the dreaded Turanza RFT fitted but will be dumping them in favour of Potenza RFT.
I considered a change to Pilot Sport 4S but decided against this in the end and to stick with RFT. Lets hope I don't regret it - if I get it wrong and they are just as bad as Turanza's, I won't have long to wait until they need changing again. |

Changed to Pilot Sport 4S from Bridgestone Turanza’s at 3,000 miles, best decision I made, changes the car handling so much for the better, managed to get the BMW approved * star marking after a bit of searching. Still got the Bridgestone to sell, will eventually get round to it.

Can really tell the difference with the handling especially in the wet and compared to the Turanza the road noice has massively reduced.

How does everyone find the awful tyre wear on the rears?
Is it just the turanzas that suffer from this or is it across the board with Perelli and good year? |

Very similar here. Michelin PS4 (not PS4 S, because 18" alloys)
Just got it serviced at 14,5000 miles Front 4.5mm Rear 3.5mm Last edited by hamera; 05-14-2021 at 05:53 AM.. |

The turanzas are shocking on the rear with a staggered set up. Fronts wear evenly 5.5+ all across after 10.5k miles.
Rears are 3mm in the centre and 4.5mm at either edge. Always run the correct pressures. You can physically see how they wear in a V when the car is off the ground on the lift. I do most journeys on th3 motorway and drive smoothly and not particularly hard so can’t even blame this on the wear. |

A fair bit of motorway in there, in the daily commute, but my rear bridgestone potensa s001 were changed at 36.5k Miles on my F36 440i gc. The fronts lasted till 47k Miles...!!!
They are called bridgeSTONES for a reason...

Wasn't many years ago BMW UK didn't even support winter tyres. From BMW's perspective, you were on your own for winter tyres. Besides, All Season never had a good press either, "the jack of all trades, master of none" tyre. Things have changed, but some of the best All Season tyres are still not available in the UK. |

They are definitely a compromise but are getting better. Michelin Cross Climates get very good reviews and are available here. Sadly it is hard to test them out before buying!!!
