G20 320D First Service Cost UK

This might have been asked before but I couldn't find it... I'm due my first Oil service in a few thousand miles. I thought it might be quite cheap, oil, filter, fuel filter etc. The dealer said it was £380 as standard. Is that the price in all dealers and how standard is the first service? If I knock them down, will they do less?

That's a rip for an oil change! Don't you guys have 3/36k maintenance free?

Mines £332 but I also ask them to top up the washer fluid and they normally do it for free.

Shop around BMW dealers. By law now in the U.K. you don’t have to have it done at a BMW dealer. As long as the garage use BMW service parts it can be done by any garage..... just keep the receipts as there is no service book now. It can be quite a lot cheaper that way but of course it still isn’t servicing by BMW when it comes to BMW approved used cars at trade in.

they don't offer that in the UK anymore for some reason, I think it's still an option in mainland Europe

Am I correct in saying that a petrol engined car doesn’t need servicing
until it is 2 years old unless it’s done a colossal mileage ?

Correct... 2 years or as advised on the dash.... whichever comes first. I think the mileage is dependant on how hard you drive it.
