Anyone manage to fully pair a Pixel 7 (Pro)?

Hey,

while the Pixel 6 worked flawlessly with the car, including Android Auto, I can't get the Pixel 7 to work. It connects via Bluetooth just fine, but it doesn't do its usual "Apps" routine, where it pairs with the My BMW app, connects to the car's wifi and enables Android Auto.

That part just isn't working.

I tried connecting the phone to the car's wifi manually, with the result that the phone shows up twice in the car, one connected with Wifi for Apps, the other for phone calls via Bluetooth.

If I do the latter, the My BMW app does see the phone connected via Wifi and apps, but says Bluetooth is missing.

Something is very off there. Did anyone manage to get this connected with full functionality?

i had no problem on my 2019 330i with istep 07/2021 pairing my pixel 7 pro. it was very seamless, paired via bluetooth, then the car asked if i wanted to use bmw apps or android auto and i selected android auto and it connected and that was it

Got my pixel 7 pro to work finally. I have to disconnect apple car play, as that was interfering with the mirror. Follow the prompts from your pixel 7 only and react to the BMW prompts on phone online. It should work as long as you don't click the prompt from both sides.

Did you see similar issues to what I saw?

I am going to give it another try, but I already tried every possible combination I could think of. Maybe my car's software is outdated or something.

I'm having the same problem on my g30 2021 m550. Samsung s22 ultra worked flawlessly, but I can't get anything more than the Bluetooth connection going on the pixel 7 pro. This would be a deal breaker for me on the pixel if I can't get it working.

How did you get your software updated? I have a 2019 330xi but my software version is 11/2019.70 with no upgrade available and no android auto. How did you update to 07/2021?

"The identical problem is happening to my 2021 BMW G30 and Pixel 7 Pro. I had no trouble connecting with my Samsung S22 Ultra, but I'm having trouble setting up a reliable connection with my Pixel. Considering how much I depend on smooth communication in my car, this might be a deal-breaker for me.
