I believe you must have the m-sport model.

IIRC it comes on non m-sport models as well. you just have to have the right settings; press dsc once, sport or sport plus mode, shifter in S mode, press on the brake HARD and hold the accelerator past the click down point. You should see the checkered flag on the dash.

It’s standard on all 330i and M340i models (in the US, at least).
