Nice. Should be able to get some heat into the after a couple of runs.

Really? It's was coming down in huge flakes on my way into work this morning: https://www.nbcchicago.com/weather/s...esday/2379222/

SCHAUMBURG 2E (COOK)..........................1.1

Not much, but enough to make driving on summer tires questionable.

Also interesting enough the grill and headlights were packed with snow/ice. The lower radar must have some sort of heater built in since it's clear.

Probably. I've read about these sensors in the car clearing up snow because it's a safety issue of it is blocked.

And as per the previous link, we only got trace amounts of snow (which is basically nothing; just rain). Hehe

I have heard nothing but negative feed back about JB4. I honestly wouldn't waste my money on the piggyback unit. I'd love to see some independent dyno results that are from folks with no affiliation to Berger.l as well as real track times not using draggy

Couple runs on our development 2020 M340. The car is RWD so traction limited, we drop boost 5psi in 1st gear to help get it off the line. Fuel is 91 craptane + 3-4 gallons of E85 (~E20). Roughly equivalent to 93 octane. Car is factory other than a JB4 and BMS intake.

Our best run on map0 (JB4 disabled) is 12.38@113mph, best run on map3 so far 11.96@120mph, both traction limited. 7mph trap speed gain JB4 only is solid though. There is probably more in it with map6 and a little more E85 mixed in so we'll keep at it!

I'd love to see some real track times. These cars can run 11.9 - 12.0 stock over and over again with a consistent 60ft of 1.745 - 1.750.

All the negative feedback you are seeing are people with their butt dyno in rwd cars saying they aren't seeing any power gains. There are a few videos on youtube of people with the jb4 in xdrive models hitting mid to low 11s.

Here are two vids I found in 1 mins of searching:

The Z4 has the same B58 engine and burger has posted the dyno runs of it stock and with various maps:

Yeah we've all seen these same videos but there's not much else out there.

Also the only dyno figures have been posted by people affiliated w Berger. There's no independent dyno info available right now and that's what we want to see

I don't believe those times plus the MPH doesn't add up 11.5 at 107/8? These cars stock trap at 112+.

Show me real track times and before after dyno results on the same dyno

RWD cars on stock tires won't be cutting 1.7 60' times very easily. Going from 113mph to 120mph trap speed is a pretty solid gain and hugely noticeable behind the wheel.

If you want more than that and don't care about warranty/lease then add in a flash map to go with the JB4. They publish them unlocked for free.

If you'd be happy with a smaller gain like 3-4mph the get a JB+ for $199 with a 30 second install and enjoy.

Agreed, A 7mph gain is solid and a testament to the power gain. I have a jb+ laying around that I used on a 440i lease.. just got a lease M340i. After break in is complete ill put jb+ on the M340i with a light E85/93 pump gas mix. The 440i felt much quicker with the jb+ and a E17 mix.
I was told i should be able to run a 25-30% Emix and max the jb+ out (4.5 psi over stock) on the M340i

The guy braked at the end there hence the slow trap speed.

It's a free download called GPS Race Timer from the Apple app store. Not the most accurate tool out there (I'm being generous). Compared it to my Draggy due to a similar conversation a while back and it was my experience that the results were all over the place (which didn't surprise me).

Does anyone have pictures of where the JB4 cable passes through the firewall on the M340i? I can’t seem to find it.

Most of my customers use the door jamb method as it's 10 seconds to place and remove and you can't even notice the cable when routed.

Lol. I can't see what order the pics will post but two are of the plug from the inside. Other two are of the location looking from the engine compartment.
Get a long ass flathead screwdriver push and twist.

Interesting. Is there anything showing examples of how to route this?
