M340i Exhaust upgrade - not voiding warranty
Hi all,
I was wondering is there an M340i exhaust upgrade we can do in the U.K. without voiding BMWs warranty. With the exclusion of AC Schnitzer? Thanks all. |

The dealership can only deny warranty work if they can prove your mod caused a failure on the part you are looking to warranty.
the exhaust does not add any stress on other car components, its a safe modification that will not cause any warranty problems

Read the warranty guideline. It says any modification past the downpipe can potentially void warranty if the part is proven to have caused the failure/breaking of the part.

Thanks for the information. I'm on the warranty page now online but can't find anything that mentioned the downpipe part. Could you possibly link it? Thanks |

I’m pretty sure if it’s an ECE/Eu approved system BMW would find it hard to blame the exhaust for any fault. Milltek’s OPF back system is EEC/EU approved.
I have one that’s a month old going cheap if you fancy one. Sounds fantastic and an easy fit. |
