Yes. All tourings are produced in Germany. Most sedans are produced in Mexico nowadays, as far as I know.
Also, I've read that sedans might also come from Germany in case car is ordered with individual color that is not used by the factory in Mexico.

I have similar information so in reality I expect mfct site San Luis. For the date of ordering how much time do you received your Vin or any exact information about production ?

I haven't received my VIN yet. It's been almost a month since the order was placed. I don't recall how long it took to get a VIN 4 years ago when I ordered my G20. However, at that time in 2019, all sedans for Europe were manufactured in Germany.

For my current order (330d touring) my dealer has communicated a 3 month delivery period. Back in 2019 when I ordered the sedan, expected delivery period was also 3 months. I remember that back then my car got delivered a bit earlier. It was just over 2 months. Because at some point, a free slot opened and we moved my car up the queue.

Hey there,

I've order my g20 on 27th February, and even though I was told that the waiting time's max 3-5 months, the car has been produced on 14th August, and that was when I got a VIN number.

I hope the car will come before Christmas, if not sooner..

All sedans are being produced in Mexico though, but anyway, I really hope you'll have more luck then I did with the delivery

Thanks very much both the information and the wishes. From Eu point of view Mexico is far not ideal You - and me - have to wait for 2-3-4 month after the car is ready. khhmmm. My personal "goal" would be to get the car in May '24, around my birthday it is 7-8 month ahead.... hopefully it is enough.

Short update:

I ordered my G21 330d M-Sport on Aug 20 2023. I was told to expect 3-month delivery period.

Here we are, 3 months later, the car hasn't entered production, and I am notified that it will not be produced in December. Apparently there are some problems with production of diesel engines. B47 20d engines are built in limited numbers, but B57 30d engines are not going to be built at all.
My dealer also told me that a few days ago BMW rejected his order for X3 30d for this same reason.

Does anyone have more info on what is actually causing problems with diesel engine manufaturing at the moment. I heard rumors about something with the high-pressure fuel pump.
