Removing Head unit to install MMI Prime

Hello. Has anyone removed the head unit and screen to install MMI Prime, or know of a video on how to do it on a G20?

I got the trim off and the two T20 bolts out of the bottom of the screen but its still in there tight.

I contacted Bimmertech and they stated they don't have videos specific for the G20. Anyone know of any helpful links or videos specific to our cars?

Im going to give it another shot this weekend and see if I can get it to come out of the opening above the headunit.

I have not removed the HU but ISTA instructions (attached) states the HU is removed from below the HU so part of the center console has to be disassembled.

Sadly, this is a deliberate design change from BMW, as in the F30 era, headunits were stolen ALOT because of how each they were to take out.

Now they are "trapped" in the dash, and they are also "synced" with 2/3 other ECUS and will only work together as a unit.
