Umm, doesn't bmw realize less is sometimes more. That front end is a disaster. And headlight design with some proper halos would be better too.

It's like the common cold, nobody wants it but eventually will get one.

Change can be so difficult, especially with the acceptance of reality that we - forum members - have zero influence over how the next generation M3 will look.

I will wait for the official release.

It needs a bigger hood bulge, and rear end that looks less like Camry... wait, I guess we already got all that in an E9x M3s

Have any of the past renderings been spot on? Im not suggesting this isnt. I'm curious and gauging how "close" these are.

I actually don't think it's too bad. Have a feeling it will look way nicer in person than in renderings/photos. But at the same time, this design marks the continuation of a trend away from the subtly muscular, refined look that came to define the M division throughout the 80s through 2000s. Cars in general all look so aggressive these days, which forces performance lines to design SUPER aggressive for contrast and it's starting to border on tacky.

Don't know but this scott26 dude seems to be somewhat in the know. So I would imagine even if they aren't spot on they will be pretty close to the final product.

Someone will release an aftermarket bumper and make all right. Sucks you'd need to go that route, but hopefully it doesn't catch on as a styling element.

Front end is sooo bad, not just the grilles which sort of have potential in a modern way. It’s the bumper overall, doesn’t flow with the car, and the rear around the C pillar is droopy and melted looking.

All in all, I will not be rushing out to buy this, I will await to see how the M4 looks, but I can’t shake the want for a late e92 comp pack... plus that glorious M v8

Previous M cars share the same grills with standard models. Will BMW make new grills for G80 and G82???
