Thanks. Great deal. I'm going to do that.

DxO has no local adjustment tool and once in a blue moon I need it and I HATE Photoshop. This seems like the way to go for me and I'll just use LR for the 1 in 100 shots that I want to make a local adjustment on.

Yeah, that's true, Dave. But, I think the reason was because they felt that the iPhone was good enough for photography, so now they are making staff take iPhone photography-related courses. Can you believe that?

I would love to see their photographers cover the Blackhawks with their iPhones.

My sister keeps telling me I should quit my job and turn pro. I laugh at her and tell her I know dozens of photographers with far more talent who do other things for a living because it's so hard to be a freelance photographer with a full stomach these days. I don't like being hungry.

I have played trumpet for decades, mostly for fun, but some pay here and there. We've have a question, "What's the difference between a trumpet play and a 16-inch pizza? The pizza can feed a family of four." The same will soon be true of the average professional photography. Only the elite will survive.

Classic set up. You've got almost all the bases covered.

Congrats.

I DO predict that you'll be selling two of the four batteries on Ebay. (Keep them in the package until you "need" them). Those batteries are fantastci. My original from 2009 is still in use and I can't tell any difference in performance.

Only if you chimp a ton or do a lot of video will you ever go through those batteries.

All this stuff belongs to the school anyway. If I don't need the batteries, I'll turn them over to the a/v guys. They just bought two 5D MkIIIs with 85mm 1.2L lenses and a C300. They'll have use for the batteries, I'm sure. I'll have to borrow one of their 85's soon.

When I told her all this stuff costs nearly $7k, she was shocked. More like appalled. Needless to say I did not mention that my camera bag has a little bit more worth than that.

I'm not even married, but even to my non photographer friends and relatives I tend to keep quiet about things like that. Otherwise it can start a whole conversation about how crazy I am etc...
