We need to get all the info first, then form your decisions. A manual transmission and bucket seats on a modern car is very exciting and I will hope for the best possible driver's car that can carry 5 passengers.

At this point, nobody has seen the car in person outside of BMW, we do not have any specs, it could be a dynamic machine, we just do not know.

No one here is disagreeing with the fact that it will be a dynamic beast of a car. We are saying that no matter how great of a car it is, it's still HIDEOUS. No one wants to drive ugly.

It will probably be a slight improvement over the F80 (for manual models), Auto models may be debatable, but I won't start another DCT vs ZF argument (manual is better than both anyways ) but this will likely not be a revolution or big change in driving dynamics. That is what I'm expecting for the new models, although, could be wrong. Time will tell, although this release is taking so damn long at this point.

Concept 4 is the one car that needs no hood line to mitigate that huge grills that distract from the rest of the car.

Design of AMG cars work because they are designed with the hood line already in mind, not an afterthought to save cost.

Me either. It's an over exaggerated point.

I know I'm not the only one who finds it awkward. I usually buy AW BMWs and I ordered my F80 in TB because I wanted the hood line hid somewhat by a darker color. In my opinion both of those examples look more natural. Most cars need a hood line you just hope it flows with the design.

I really don't care for it and miss their previous approach. However it's not a deal breaker for me.

Over exaggerated or popular critique? Probably both.

You're right, it's both......with regards to the forum. I've never heard any owner I've met out in the wild ever complain about it.

People on the internet (“enthusiasts”) have been complaining about the hoodlines on 2/3/4 series long before the pictures of gigantic grills started making their rounds. Happens every generation without fail.

But in this case, the design is truly ugly, at least in the photos. Maybe be different in person but somehow I have a feeling not.

Yup both C63 and E63 both have a good line that doesn't meet the grill....

That’s not a C63 or E63, at least not entirely. It’s got an AMG GT 4 door front end.
