Does anyone know if there’s a way to send the fact that I’m logged into the My BMW app on my phone, to the car instead of typing in the password each time?

It should remember the password. Mine stays signed in on the car and app.

Have you ticked remember username and password when signing into the car?

I have. It logged me out after I’d changed the password (which is fair enough) for BMW financial services.

It’s more can I send it to the car like I can send a location.

I just have to enter a PIN each time I start the App. Do you have to enter your password and a PIN?

It’s never asked me for a pin despite me setting one in the app?!

In the App, under Settings does it show PIN CODE = CHANGE? Mine does (which shows it’s been set), so I was just wondering if yours shows something else e.g. NOT SET. If it does show CHANGE, maybe try changing it to see if that kicks it into life. Or, maybe delete the App and re-install it?

Yeah the app works fine.

It’s when I get in the car it asks me to enter my password. I’m asking is there no way of the app talking to the car instead of having to enter a password each time there’s been an update or I’ve changed a password etc?

I'm still confused - when you get into the car is it the car or your phone that's asking for a password?

Neither of these is correct - the should recognise who you are from your driver profile which should be link to your key / keycard / phone / whatever else you use to unlock and start it. You have set all of that up, right, in the 'getting started' bit of the menus?

When you get into car with key that's linked to your profile it should not ask you for authentication only if you are switching profiles
