I just got my 2022 M440i GC and love it. Adventurin Red with Cognac interior. No power seats but I can live with that.

They have them now. No touchscreen is about the only deletion.

Nope. It's not a big deal to me. I am the only driver. The seat adjusts manually just fine and I almost never move it. Set it and forget it.

I'm sure I'll take a hit if I ever sell or trade, but otherwise the car was perfect, fully loaded and exactly what I would have ordered. It was at the dealership so I pounced.

I wanted to ask whoever may know this, but I've seen some lower end new arrivals that still had power seats installed. Kinda wondering why they'd put it in say a 330i but not an upper echelon 440GC?

Manual seats was a one-time thing with an initial production batch. BMW claims it was done in error. Some suspect it was a chip shortage issue. Either way, manual seats are done with. Anything ordered since that batch has power seats.

My passenger lumbar is deleted too. They could've taken the drivers for all I care, always feels like a lump in the back to me.

Tough question, odd circumstance where I was given someone else's order. I took delivery in February of '22. Based on the paperwork I got showed a VIN getting generated back in November. Beyond that I do not know.

I have a Jan 11 build date on my G26 build. I haven't yet taken delivery (it just made it across the pond). Mdecoder shows

S48Z DEL.FR.PASS.LUMBAR SUPP./FR.PASS.BWA.

That was the only thing deleted. I knew this going in because it was present even on my order sheet as "48Z Passenger Lumber Delete". Ordered in mid Nov last year from existing dealer allocation.

Not a fan of Brooklyn or Davit grey. They only look good on the showroom floor. Especially if they have everything blacked out.

Ordered mine in Dec 21 and went into production in early Feb 22. Been sitting at VPC for two weeks. BMW Genius is useless. They were telling me my vehicle was on the ship when I already knew the ship had left the port and previously had been told my vehicle was at the VPC. Why do people make up things when they really don't know? Really frustrating trying to get information from anyone.

X5 to M440i Gran Coupe made sense

Now that my kids are grown and driving I wanted to transition from a bulky X5 to something more performance oriented. The M440i Gran Coupe was a great choice. What I lost in performance I gained in practicality. Happy I can easily fit my bike in the trunk or drop the seats to bring home a 6 foot counter top. My checklist was 400hp and a hatchback, surprisingly very little to choose from.

M440i Gran Coupe HP

You do know that with the 48volt battery, you have an extra 40 horsepower. I believe that brings you up to 422hp. I just got mine--same as yours in white with red interior. It seems fast enough for me. Difficult to keep it at speed limit. Have to have my radar detector on all the time.

It's not 422 hp, that's not how the mild hybrid works. It's still as rated 382hp.

It's a crapshoot once the vehicle goes through the assembly process. Whatever they have (or don't have) in the parts bins at the time of assembly determines what your car arrives with. I had ZPK (parking assist package) on my order sheet but I found out that it got removed when the VIN was issued post-assembly.
