New or used M340i?
I'm in the market for an M340i and it'd be my first car.
I was looking into leasing one but it comes out to almost 32-36k over the course of 3 years which is a bit ridiculous. At this point, it makes more sense to buy it. However, I'm not sure what the better solution is when it comes to buying it. I've been seeing 20/21 CPOs around me (NYC area) for 45-50k under 30k miles. A new one would probably run me closer to 65-70k OTD. The one thing that worries me is the condition of the CPOs. I've heard horror stories about how people tend to drive their leases into the ground, and CPO buyers get screwed by it. I hear that the tri-state area is the devil's playground for these clapped cars. I would love some insight from y'all. Thanks in advance! |

If you are worried have a trusted independent machanic do an inspection. I did that when I bought my 2020 M340i.
M340i is a nice first car. I generally lean towards buying used. Couple years old with under 30k miles. That’s the sweet spot. Interest rates are wild and making monthly payments any high. Buy used and put as much cash as you can down. |

Buying used is a great way to get a nice discount. You just have to do your due diligence. |
