De-badging G20

Hi everyone
I am due to take delivery on September 1st of my new 330e M sport with the m sport pro pack in Portimao Blue. For those of you who are interested I went for the brushed aluminium trim over the tetragon!!
I am considering asking the dealer to remove the 330e badge as I did this on my old E90 and loved it.
Has anybody any pictures of their G20 with a clean back? Can’t find any pics on here of this model debadged

(On my F30 330e I was told I couldn't have the eDrive on the C Pillar removed because emergency services needed to know that it was an electric vehicle)

First I have heard that although it does sort of make sense.
You could always do it yourself of course.

I didn't as I would likely be the one needing assistance in such circumstances... and now only a month to M340i land...

I don't think the 330e badge can be removed without filling holes. The debadge option as already mentioned was taken off option list so that emergency services can identify PHEV/BEV/HEV vehicles.

Debadge was removed from M340i too so dont think 330e specific

Again that makes sense although the extra 'filler' cap surely gives the game away........or at least popping the bonnet does.....or asking the owner.

This sounds like the sort of nonsense a clueless dealer would make up. If there really WAS a requirement for emergency services to know if a car was electric, then you can be sure that info would need to be displayed in a much more conspicuous way than just a manufacturer's stylised badge, be that "eDrive" or the even more opaque "330e".

I suppose emergency services may identify a vehicle by its badges but its definitely not a legal requirement to have one. There are many other features also to confirm whether its a hybrid or not. They must have a data base and can search easily for any details of any vehicle.

Example below:

That's the F30 330e. The G20 330e doesn't have it.

Although it appears you have the F30 330e, so no idea.

I got a 330e m sport as my company car. I debadged it myself using the wife's hair dryer and dental floss. Took 5 mins.

I debadged it as I didn't want customers saying "ooooo you've got a 3 litre bmw" and me having to explain no it's a 2 litre petrol with batteries! And I've got it to save a lot of money on tax compared to my previous golf GTD.

Plus I prefer the clean look of Debadging!

Many states in the USA have "EV" plates, indicating that the vehicle is an electric vehicle. It's not required, however.

The debadge option on the 330e is definitely not available on the G20 in the UK (or wasn't in December 2019). I requested my lease company to find out from BMW why it wasn't on the options list when I did have it done on my F30 330e.
It is the only indication on the car that its a hybrid, and should you be involved in an accident, recovery people need to be aware of the dangers of dealing with the stored charge. Obviously a severe rear end shunt puts this theory out the window, but they won't remove it :
The charging flap isn't a clear and obvious indication, and as pointed out previously, the edrive badges are no longer on the C pillars.
