Dealers have the bmw bars reduced to 135 on ebay. Fixing kits etc now available at Halfords for Thule - my other bars and racks are Thule so might stick with that

So coming back to the roof bars...
I jave nothing - no old roof bars, no fitting kits anything. What is the best option? Would F30 bars fit, but i need the fixing kit for it? |

I also have a set from the same place Tricky used, I've had the set for 10 years and used between various 3er saloons/tourings and 5er saloons/tourings plus a Volvo XC90. Clearly with different "feet" for the tourings/Volvo.
Roofbox company are superb both on product selection and customer service when enquiring about adapting my cross bars to fit each car and generation. So Tricky we have the same car and same colour and now we have roof bars on them too lol!! |

I have Thule 3174 for the square bars. Fits perfectly. Got them from Roofbox.co.uk.

Hey guys I have a Thule Bar set up with ski racks attached. I am in US (MA) and willing to ship. DM if interested! Very good shape I barely used them (used for 2 ski trips, and now I never use them and have been off my car with all components including screws, keys, etc in a bag).

Planning on taking the family to the Alps and as the G21 is somewhat smaller, decided to dust off the roofbox and get myself organised.
And it so happened that these arrived this morning..... I rarely have need for a roof-rack/bars and the old ones that I had for a previous car (can't recall if it was the e39 or e61 TBH) wouldn't fit. So the choice was get some feet for the bars or go for a new system that was cheaper. So Roofbox.co.uk gave their recco, and I looked up a review on line and found this https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/produc...roof-bars-2020 Seems it will be good enough for the odd occasion that I need them. Can't complain too much at £75 + £10 for locks + £7 for delivery

I just went with the oem from Bowker BMW on their ebay site. £450 for bars and the 320 ltr box. I think that ain't such a bad deal, really.
I was pressured by timeframes and the fact they only had 2 boxes left, so :| |

I have the same set up. No problems whatsoever with opening the roof tilt or slide. Just be prepared for extra wind noise when you do.
Kindest regards Carl. |
