However, on a plus, also found that mine in sports plus mode gives you lots of pops and crackles when revving..... just assumed it wouldn’t from what a lot of others have said, so nice surprise
Agree about the centre seat belt positioning..... I only really noticed it recently when I went to stow the centre seatbelt away. Had to read the manual to understand how you got the seatbelt clip out of that holder.

Haha very true, easy when you know how though.

I’m surprised for what is otherwise a very well thought out design and layout of a vehicle that they do that, very strange.

I just noticed today that all four doors have a small white light underneath which can be seen inside the car when the doors are shut and when you turn the inside dome lights on. I thought it was bad sealing at first till I realised it was visible on all doors and that in the dark, it actually helps brighten up the dark footwell albeit slightly. Either that or it really is just bad sealing and the light leaking out from under the door.

I assume it’s these lights you are talking about....

See this thread..

I think I also see the lights inside the car. Will need to wait ‘till evening to check.

You do see the lights still when you close the door from inside the car.

You do. I thought it was a design flaw and the light leaked inside. But it's very clearly visible. In my audis, it is invisible from inside since the sealing is spot on.

I've pushed mine in as far as I could. This is the result. Can't really feel it now.

If we are talking about the same lights, they are on the inside of the seal.

Thanks, going to try and do the same!

Why they didn’t put it next the other like on most other cars is bizarre.

I know. This solution isn't ideal but it's literally a bit less of a pain in the arse

Yes sir. Those are the lights I’m talking about. Are there two lights under the doors? I need to go check mine when I’m home.

Mine got one on each door. Here is a better picture of it.
Also, the light carpet is projected from underneath the car.
I'm looking at adding some side skirts and they are that little bit shorter, not to cover the light.

No hood liner

New G20 330e x-drive owner, here. I'm surprised to find no liner on the bottom side of the hood. That's a first in a BMW for me. And, I go back to when "e" meant "eta"

It’s designed to push away I think as there is a definite space for it if you have a feel around in the seat base.

Took me a week or so to realise how to hide it away.

After a month of ownership, probably the only g20 driver that didn't realise until today you could write letters using finger on top of the idrive controller to search for songs/sat nav destinations etc.

That’s been a thing since the F series. Does nobody bother reading manuals anymore or is it not alpha-male if you do?

This is my first BMW. And the manuals are not that great. Mostly very vague information that isn't always relevant for your model.

I had to turn the write on the idrive thing off because it kept seeing random characters when i was just twiddling the knob.

One thing that I have noticed after just a few days is how quickly the car heater warms up.

Not sure if that is becuase we have been having some fair weather but it literally is warm after a few minutes which is great.
