Turn off device for MyBMW notification?

Every time I start my car, my car gets this stupid pop-up that doesn't even work. Aside from uninstalling the app, has anyone come up with a way to block it?

(Android phone)

SigurWes ,

I also have an Android phone. There are several apps that do what you mention. To stop that from happening, tap on SETTINGS, NOTIFICATIONS, INCLUDED APPS. Then find the app, you want to stop receiving notifications from (in your case, MyBMW) and tap on the slide switch-- this will gray the switch & app name and turns off those annoying messages

BTW, my phone is using Android 12.0, but above should work on all previous versions

Hope that helps!

Unfortunately, it doesn't count as a notification - it's not in the status bar. It comes up at the bottom of the screen. Every time!

Ahh. You mean the wifi notification at the bottom? Saying a BMW wifi has been detected it something like that? I can't seem to get rid of that either!

SigurWes ,

Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part

Yup, I get the same thing on my phone. When I finally get the pop up to disappear, oddly enough the phone has been connected to car's WiFi. I noticed it since I got an update to Android Auto on my phone

In my phone, it happens if I'm sitting at home and my wife uses the car. It says BMW wifi detected and after she drives off, the notification remains. Idk when it disappears but it remains for a while. I'm used to it now so it doesn't bother me much.
