M340i vs M340i MHT

So after owning and driving both M340i G20 there is a difference

My first M340i was lowered and running 20" wheels, the second M340i is running standard springs and 19"

The difference is very noticeable and the car has more body roll but does ride better on B road. I think lowered on 19s would be the best

The laser lights vs LED is massive. The LED on dark B roads or motorways is noticeable. The amount of light and range is much bigger, having the ability to have full beam on whilst other cars coming towards you is such a great feature, with LED you just have to dip the lights back to main beam

Not seen much difference in MPG but on the motorway when your cruising and take the foot of the pedal the MHT would keep pulling the car forward, without MHT the speed slowly starts to stop off.

The thing I miss the most is laser lights

Must admit laser lights were on my 'nice to have' list but I am glad I have them

Have you tried raising the dip beam a bit? Found mine too low so did it yo the point where I got a couple of flashes and then lowered them back down a bit. Of course it won't be like lasers, but...

Yep, the one thing I wish I had was Lasers…. Unless of course they got damaged and needed replacing….!
I miss the HBA and wish that could have been an
option. I had this on the F30, and to be controversial I reckon the F30 adaptive with HBA was in the round much better than the G20 LED adaptive

Are you in ACC or not? I've also heard autohold seems to add that drag on but haven't tested if there's a difference with/without.

No

If you have driven a MHT you will feel the difference. The car turns off and for a period of time will maintain the speed, it needs to be pretty flat and few other conditions but you can feel the motor keep the car going. Its better around 30 mph on a flat, you can back off the throttle and it keeps going for a while

The non MHT starts to drop off its speed quicker not much but it does

So on that basis the Visibility Pack at £1500 including both the laser lights and the selective beam function looks like a bargain!!

One hell pf a bargain... suppose even taking the difference they save at manufacture with the different headlamps it is still good value... on the other hand just shows what they must actually pay for them..
