Hi All,
Hope everyone is well. Needs some help here on the text message display. I recently started using my spare key on the 3 for about a week now as the main key battery is low. So now the car indicates the diver as guest which is fine. Now this morning it has begun displaying any text i receive while in the car. This never used to be and my phone would just normally vibrate but not text display on the screen. I have unchecked the text message display (see photo) but the text still shows. Any way to fix this? This never happened with my main key. For the record the phone is a s9+. Thanks all for any suggestion / fix.

I had some funky issues with this when I first got my car similar to what you're experiencing. Sometimes when I would go into that menu the box would be ticked again randomly.

Are you seeing that behavior too, or are the texts just popping up even though you have the box permanently unticked?

Hi there. Yes the texts are still showing up even though the box is unchecked. Very fustrating

Android Auto or Carplay? I think* when I finally fixed mine it was through a setting in Android Auto. I also had some difficulty connecting that the first time, but once I made that transition, I was able to fully stop the messages from popping up.

Hello there . Thanks for the input. To be honest I don’t use android auto play. Only the Bluetooth connection. Not a fan of having the entire phone replicate on the screen. I kinda like the bmw screen ( yes I know) lol. I replaced the battery in my primary key today. So let’s see if I still have this issue.
On another note got a flat just as I got home. Ugh. Will deal with that issue Monday morning to get that fixed
