E92 M3. I’m sure it’s more numb than say an E46 and prior generations (never driven them), but I feel a lot more feedback from the car than I do the driving the G series cars. Nothing wrong with the newer cars, they appeal to a wide audience.

Great car. The e46 had more road texture feel, but the e92 has mechanical feel and certainly far more feedback than G8x. I drive by the seat of my pants in my g80, but yes it does have a wider appeal to the luxury side of things. (I’ve had all three gen’s.)

Opinions are like asses: everybody has one. I for one like the 4-series and have owned a convertible since 2022 that I absolutely love.
In terms of road feel, yes, it’s less communicative than cars that came before except for the F-series. That makes it no less capable as it seemengly endless grip darts you from corner to corner like nothing else. I spent a day driving it up and down the Back of the Dragon hard and it was insane how it could sew the corners together. That said, I do like the LCI grill better than the honeycomb mine has. If it fits in the pre-LCI cars I shall be swapping mine. |

I have had a 2013 B8.5 S4, 2016 F30 340i X-Drive, 2019 W205 C43 (LCI) and now a 2024 G26 M440i X-Drive in Portimao Blue/ Cognac Sensatec.
I can tell you hands down the G26 gets way more compliments...two to three unsolicited compliments a week...from parking lots to drive throughs...I get people asking..."man what do you do to drive a beautiful car like that?" |

One could ask a question: what car is convincingly better in every category than G22 and G26 at the same or lower price?
I can't think of any. |

I might be the only one here, but the laser rear lights do not amaze me. They look interesting by themselves and technology is cool, but actually lines are too thin and they get lost from far especially on a red color like this one.

“There have been countless of social media comments bashing the oversized nostrils, but it turns out, BMW might be onto something. The BMW 4 Series had 50,777 sales in 2023. To put things in context, the G20 BMW 3 Series only had 33,997 units sold to customers in 2023.” Source: BMWBlog There is no “next time”, the large grill is here to stay. If I were you I would worry more that the next BMW you have to choose has the large grill instead of the 4 Series going back to a small one. Either way, coming into our forum to tell us you think that our cars are ugly isn’t a very nice thing to do. |

I like this a lot. Happy to see the M440 is getting the snazzy new taillights too.
I'd go for the GC version myself because 4 doors are ridiculously more practical. In fact, if all continues to go well in life I may find myself ordering a 2025. In sunset orange... mmm... |

LOL. Most of the badge haters and grille haters don’t even own a modern BMW or even a BMW at all. It’s kind of funny how they think they are experts on the right/wrong way for owners to show their enthusiasm.

Looks like they not only swapped out the honeycomb for slats (which in itself made a huge difference IMO), but also made the whole grill gloss black. Not exactly apples to apples here (no pun intended), but I’d argue that the bottom looks much better, and far more like the front end of a performance model. Furthermore, it definitely is distinctive enough to claim that it doesn’t look the same as before:
