My apologies man, it was a hell of a weekend. I'm going to get them tomorrow and will post in the afternoon. Just haven't had the time like I thought I had. Sorry for the delay!

Pictures of the polished pipes are below

OTHER DINAN EXHAUST OWNERS:
I have a question regarding exhaust rattle. After recently installing this, I noticed rather loud rattling noises coming from the valves. It only seems to happen during a cold start, and after a minute or so they seem to dissipate under normal driving conditions (I think, as I can't hear anything on the highway and I don't hear anything when stopped but of course the vehicle isn't under load). I need to check further if I can hear them when driving at low RPM (same as cold start RPM). This just may be me being an noob to BMW and to Dinan products, but is anyone else getting this rattling noise? Either on this exhaust or other Dinan exhausts with valves? Just want to make sure I'm not going crazy. Thanks forum!!!

THANK YOU!!!

But now I'm even more confused on what color to get! I was set on black but the polished looks amazing! Gives it a very nice contrast. Hmmmm....

Nice looks good! As for the rattle, can't speak to that since I obviously don't have mine purchased yet.

I had same problem with the MPE on my F30 and it was due to the valve actuator and typically some kind of moisture build up around the valves causing them to rattle sometimes

Sounds like one of the butterfly valves is loose. I'd send video to your dealership or whoever installed it and to Dinan.

They're pretty responsive on here so maybe can even reach out to them directly.

I did talk to them actually. Both of them said this was normal (albiet after I was originally supposed to get a new exhaust), but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if other people have had this issue just to make sure. I realize this is a new product and all, but the loudness & crassness of this rattle is causing me concern.

Maybe another owner of the exhaust on here can shed some insight too?

Mine did that on one side only and it was the clamp touching the heat shield.

I'm taking that to read that after you fixed that, you no longer hear any rattles even from the valves?

There IS an effing rattle on BOTH sides now. Sounds too close to the tips to be the valve but it must be......will be taking her back today or tomorrow. I can't hear inside the car tho.....
Thanks, I think 🤔 😎

I don't have this rattle, on cold start there is a vibration sometimes but no loud rattles and I start my vehicle in my garage so any all noises are apparent.

How loud is it. I took a video that has the rattle and can hear it from the start. At least in this one it's short, but it's generally been longer. URL is below

I just got off the phone with Andrew at Dinan. He says we will hear that "rattle" on cold start only for about 30 sec. It is normal as the valves are closed on cold start and we're hearing the air being forced past the valves. Will go check my car now after driving to work and see if it rattles after being warm. Shouldn't per Dinan.
