I’m currently a C43 owner and my lease is up in a few weeks, I’m leaning towards a Bmw m340i. From what I see from the numbers the bmw leases out better. Wish me luck I’ve been trying to schedule appointments to test drive the bmw but the response time has been really bad. Spoke to a few dealers (NY NJ PA CT) and they have been giving me some outrageous numbers

Goodluck! The dealer I signed with is open but 90 miles from me. I think in a couple of weeks I'm going to drive over there to take a m340 for a test drive, I stil l haven't driven one. It wasn't available during the m-town tour.

Bro thank you for this! I hit him up and it was literally no games the first quote was reflecting what I saw on the lease calculator, I just had to give me my fleet discount that I qualify for, base discount he gave me was 8.7 I’m asking for 9.5. But it looks like this deal is locked in tho

Thanks! It looks like I stuck a deal with bmw David but I haven’t test drove car and trying to get in contact with one of these dealers for an appointment has been a task in itself. Here in NY well in the north east region because of the pandemic everything is by appointments

He gave you 8.7% off only? That's not a good deal, post the figures.

The gov fees is high but it will get adjusted once everything is finalized, I didn’t agree to anything yet but if I pay the taxes and fees up front I’ll be paying ~ $590 a month. I know rule of thumb is 10% but I can’t seem to get that anywhere maybe because I’m not in the brand. I really want the car in dravit gray, there is a dealer by me that has one how I want it equipped but in the Portimao blue which I’ll settle for, I’ll use this deal as leverage to see if they would give me a better deal

Oh man!! Love to hear that....it's just nice having a no-nonsense person to deal with, he's always so kind, doesn't rush the process! Thanks for the response 👊🏻

From what I saw and me working Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas I couldn't even get CLOSE to 8.7%. I feel like most of the people getting 10+% as well as rebates is on a car that is already built or had to work some unreal amount to get that. For me I like that I can build online, share the code and get a real number in 2 seconds from David. My last BMW was a 2018 M3 Comp and I got pillaged by dealers, couldn't get anything and to even be talking about a $67k+ car with very little down and $600ish/month is crazy good, I'd be happy with that big time!

That's just my take and maybe others can truly get the extra $850ish off but with no work involved and dealing with someone you like I'd take it!

Have you located the car yourself? I've found the best way to get a no-nonsense experience and maximum discount is to do all the work yourself, and then it's just up to the dealer to agree to your numbers or not. That way it's an "easy sale" for them... all they have to do is agree to numbers, all the work's already been done.

The 1% rule would apply to the MSRP, so looks like you are under that? But I can't tell from these figures what's really going on I see the mo payment on the computer screenshot shows 612?

I'm sure someone here is pretty good with these and will tell you right away if it's good or not.

Yeah man I tried to locate the car myself even tried cars.com to see if I can find that car online it updated showing that it’s now at a showroom but it won’t disclose which Dealership

I mean the 10% off the msrp before incentives, I don’t follow the 1% rule I’ve noticed on some cars that’s way too high and on some cars that’s way too low unless you put a massive down payment on it. These are the numbers I was getting on lease hackr but my goal was to keep the payments under 600. From what I saw on forums people with this car at 67k where paying around 620-630. Here’s the final numbers

Yeah it’s crazy for this car the lowest quote I got was $679 and other dealerships looked at that like it was a steal I go to david and in less then 2 hours I’m just below $600 it’s funny because I couldn’t even get that number at Benz as a loyal customer on a C43 when I already have one

Hey guys, having a hard time making a decision, got quoted two different options from two different dealers. My current lease on a 440i ends in July but given the current situation got some good offers.

-Option A: Local dealer, New Car MRSP 67K $0 down, first month free, remaining ~785/month for 3y/36K miles. This is the RWD, Premium Pk, Driving Assistant, and comes with some other options as well as some M-package spoilers and carbon fiber mirrors. Really like the car exterior. They would take my current lease and make the payments with no cost.

-Option B: Dealer at major city, CPO w 4K miles, MRSP 64K, $0 down, $335 first month, 835/month for 3y/36K miles. X-drive, premium package, executive package, driving assistant professional, adaptive suspension and some other gadgets. They would take my car but they are basically putting my remaining payments (~1800) into the monthly cost.

So basically I'm at a 2K difference on the whole deal. Is it worth to pay more for the x-drive, the adaptive suspension and some more tech on a used car?. Or should I just save my money? I'm not planning on keeping either car.

And you don’t want to hear the initial offers I got. That being said, around ~100/month go to the sales tax. Leasing in TX sucks.

I mean from what I've heard the adaptive suspension is worth it. I'm planning on ordering it on mine. XDrive on the other hand I think depends on where you live.

I would pass on things like the exec package and driver assistance pro. Laser lights aren't even that useful in the states unless you really live in a rural area.

Can you provide a full breakdown of Option A? What's the sale price? Pre-incentive discounts? Which incentives do you qualify for? Money Factor? etc

How long are you planning to keep the CPO car if you go that route? The same 3 years as the lease? Keep in mind BMW leases residuals are inflated so your resale value on the CPO model will likely be lower than what the lease residual is.

Option A:
MSRP 67K. Discount 6K. Rebate 3K. Purchase Price 58K. After taxes, fees, etc balance 63K. MF 0.0018. Residual ~59%(39.5K) = 785/month.

Option B:
Yes it is also a lease for 3 years.
MSRP 71.5K. Discount 9.5K. Rebate 3K. Purchase Price 59K. After taxes, fees, etc balance 64K. MF 0.00138. Residual ~60%(43K)=784/month, but basically will owe two months of my current lease so the monthly rate goes to 835/month.

Thanks for the help. I'm really new to this stuff.

For option A... is that a MF of 0.00118? or is it truly 0.0018?

The discounts are pretty low. On a brand new car you should aim for at least 10% off pre-incentive, along with base MF. On a loaner, aim for closer to 15% along with base MF.

Involve multiple dealerships if you haven't already.
