Is it true that the ED discount is fixed and is not negotiable in regards to additional discounts?

They haven't released the incentives yet for MY20 models. I'm sure it will be updated for March and be the same as the MY19 3 Series

It’s true that the discount is fixed at 5% off the base price of the car, both MSRP and invoice. It doesn’t mean that the dealer can’t agree to sell the car for less than ED MSRP. And it doesn’t mean that other incentives can’t be applied.

It should also be noted IMO, that in many forum member's experience (both here and on the 'other' forum), negotiated European Delivery prices often result in a higher % off than when working from retail price. This is because ED cars don't come out of a dealer's regular allocation, and as such that particular unit's margin is not as constrained.

This is only true for certain models. All M cars count against dealer's allocation.

Are options usually discounted too or just the MSRP?

For ED options are priced at the standard, undiscounted MSRP and invoice. Their prices are negotiable, just as with a U.S. delivery.

Ok, putting aside ED is 5% off msrp for UD Delivery reasonable and fair? How much for options?

I’m trying to work with a local dealer instead of going through the hassles of shopping around as I did with the F30.

Add all the packages and options you want, and then negotiate a percentage off MSRP.

My wife’s lease ends 30 days before mine so I was negotiating a package deal: an X3 for her and a M340i for me. I tried hard to use this as leverage, and I was able to get 9% off MSRP before incentives for both vehicles. I don’t consider myself a master negotiator so it’s possible that others could have done better.

I placed the order on Saturday and it’s already in production! I just hope that BMW gets a list of port installed options before my car gets to the port. I’m not a fan of the standard grill and the other copper (cesium gray?) accents and I want to replace them with the gloss black kit. I think the copper looks good on the black M340i, but not as much on the blue I ordered.

I'm in the DMV area. Mind telling me your dealer?
