Black....
Now I know why I have never bought a black car before...my garage is out of use at the moment so the car is outside. Washed it on Wednesday, not a drop of rain since then, haven't used it....and it is filthy.

I found that out with my first A5 looked amazing when clean. As much as I enjoy cleaning my car, it gets a bit tedious when it looks dirty so soon afterwards.

I had a sapphire black 325i coupe many years ago and loved it - but I love washing my car. Since then I've had various flavours of silver and grey BMWs. Now I've got a sapphire black M340i on order and I can't wait - black looks the best.
I highly recommend Collinite 915 wax - easy to apply to a black car and lasts ages ... https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/colli...xoCePgQAvD_BwE |

I had sapphire black on a Z4 before. It looked incredible after being detailed on a nice day, but hard to keep looking great on a daily driver. And every swirl Mark is really easy to see too.

Inspect car for any swirl marks then have some correction done if needed. Imho ceramic coating is best. Can be done yourself or professionally depending on product and your comfort level. I have an m340 in mineral grey metallic and have had a few black cars. Mine is ceramic coated with CarPro uk 3.0 done by me. Stays cleaner longer and easy to clean. Mostly it gets dusty. For me in Northern California and in a garage makes it easier. If yours it outside then perhaps a cover.

Mine was booked in to be ceramic coated after delivery. The dealer was under strict instructions to not touch it apart from removing any plastic protection. I was driving it straight to my friendly detailer to be corrected and sealed. One day!!!!

But... I do like black wheels. They do a better job of hiding brake dust IMO.
So you know, every cloud...
