Taillights
The taillight design comes straight from the new 8er. Even the x4 has the same language.
Are we upset at the designing approach for the new gen of BMW or the fact that it resembles current models? Idk how much merit to put into the new designs. Personally, my mind set it to trust the process of the new approach. Following the stylistic criteria outlined by the 8er. I feel it will translate well. BMW aren't copy cats. We said the same about the new 5er and 7er. Thoughts? |

I agree with others / wish they ditch this headline/grille connection without metal in between. It never grew on me and I dont think it will.
The E90 M3 remains my favourite 3 series body from the millennium BMWs.

Well done renders. Bravo to whoever did that, being in the design field, I know it takes a lot of work.
Personally, I feel like the side sweeps on the doors aren't right, but then again this is all an estimated guess. Anyone know when the actual one will be revealed? |

Looks like a Infiniti from the front. And a Lexus/Audi rear.

Looks suspicious from the front and angry at the back. I'm not a fan I'm sorry. Looks squashed down, but yet is too high.

Looking back again in the pics, like I sometime do.
....really liking that rear. Very very slick IMO and would be really happy if production matches that

I hope it doesn't look like this. The front headlights and bumper looks like it's try to do too much.

I like the rear even if the tail lights remind me of the LExus RC... but the front is looking too wide and bloated... too 5 series like. I know its supposed to have a family resemblence but the whole car is just looking big and heavy to me.

I like the look of the new car, at least what the renders suggest the look to be. Just hope they added some of that old BMW road feel and that higher level of material quality that they used before the F30. Will probably wait for the 2nd model year to allow them to work out most of the kinks you always get from the first year of a major redesign... the dealers will also be willing to deal more as when they first come out the dealers will be mobbed with alot of pent up demand.
