Distorted surround view camera

Does anyone else get huge distortion with the birdseye camera when a car is parked next to you? See attached.

Yes, that's normal. The side cameras are underneath your door mirror so cars on either side will always look distorted like gnat due to their height relative to your mirror

Thanks! So strange...my previous Audi and my wife's VW Atlas doesn't do that. Good to know it's normal for the BMW though.

It's a wee bit distorted in the Audis but definitely not that bad. Damn.

The degree of distortion is proportional to how close the object is to the mirror when unfolded.... in fact same goes for how close objects are to any camera.

Exactly. I get that there's going to be a bit of distortion but this is a little excessive lol. Pretty sure my wife's car isn't THAT much bigger than mine
