How’s your Vernasca seats holding up?

Just placed an order.

So for those of you who have had your G20 for a while now and the leather option, what are your thoughts about durability? Any regrets? Same with those of you who have Sensatec. Do you have any regrets not going with leather?

Unless your kids absolutely trash your car, BMW leather will look as new 3 years down the road.

Sensatech holds up even better. Again, it should look new 3 years out.

We have had many different cars over many years. The leather is durable.

Is the leather worth the to charge to get the color you want? The Sensatec feels great but not a fan of black or beige.

You seem like you're really conflicted about this...i can assure you it won't make or break your life...You cant go wrong either way. They are all good choices.

If your #1 priority is getting the softest/cushiest seats-get sensatec and suck it up on the color. I have canberra beige and it looks rich and luxurious with the wood trim. (not sure why it gets so much hate)

If your priority is getting a color you like-get mocha and suck it up that the seats are going to be a tad stiffer.

Go to the dealership, sit in both and decide.

Yup. It’s your car. Your choice. Sit on both and decide what you want. BMW is not going to go with your whims and fancies unless you’re willing to pay A LOT of monies and you’re Mr. Fancy Pants and the car costs like 4 million dollars.

Thanks all. Went today. The mocha is awesome. Has light blue contrast stitching. Weird thing about the the Sensatec though, is because there are no other leather parts in the car, the cabin smells like nothing. Kinda throws you off for a minute.

The Sensatec on my M340i is excellent. Soft and durable. I don't think it will ever stretch, crease, etc. For example, my friend's leather seats in the same car is already exhibiting an ass imprint on the driver's seat-pan. That's not the case at all with my Sensatec seats. On a separate note, I noticed that the Sensatec seats on the 330i appears/feels different (less soft). I wonder if there are different grades of Sensatec? Based on my experience with a loaner 2019/2020 330i, there appears to be.

That’s the thing though. There’s no scent of leather. Lexus nuluxe cabins still smell like leather.

The Sensatec seats are identical in both models. My friend has 7000 miles on his 330i with leather seats. They still look new. The leather seats are extremely firm on the G20 so they shouldn’t be stretching u less you’re carrying A LOT of weight.

I never found my IS350 to smell like leather. It had a sweet kind of smell to it...nothing bad but definitely not like leather.

Interesting. Both my RC 350 and IS 350 have nuluxe but smell like leather. My guess was that it was from the leather steering wheel. The BMW I sat in with the sensatec had no scent at all.
