I'm going to say it so that King Rudi doesn't have to, but it's sort of the gold standard set for all guys...

"It's a thick piece of meat that satisfies."

You're welcome Jody. And yes, I roped you into this.

Me? Understanding subtleties and nuances in posts? No, that doesn't sound like me...

Besides, I was 12 when that single was released (had to look it up), so I'll just step off your lawn now so you can get back to your bingo.

No obsession. But never play Trivial Pursuit, with either of us. I can't remember your name, but there are quite a few facts you have breadcrumbed along the way that I can tell you about. Or the Joe Kerr dude above. Not stalking, just "a mind is a terrible thing" (I always stop there)

The local coffee shop has a trivia question on the board every morning. I'd say I know 85-90%. If I took the piece of candy they give for a correct answer, the Dr. wouldn't be very happy with me.

Problem solved! Only waited on hold for 30 minutes and when connected I got a very pleasant and knowledgeable IRS agent. We pieced it all together. Comes down to a mis-flagged estimated payment in QuickBooks that prevented our accountant from seeing that payment had been made. So my wife actually paid a few thousand more in estimated taxes in 2019 than made it onto our filing. So, that money is coming back home. Nice.

Hey, at least the thread didn't consist of questions about deodorant, what styling products everyone uses and/or ///M badges.

There is a special place in earworm-hell for people who lure innocent slackers onto a forum about taxes and then spew a page and a half of Meatloaf lyrics. Excuse me while I go poke my eardrums out with a pencil before we get to the baseball announcer segment (or a drum solo).

Isn't it nice that we pay accountants and tax software companies to file our taxes when IRS could just do it better, and in fact does anyway? /s

IRS only took what the accountant figured out and applied it to the payments they already received. Who knows if the IRS actually reviewed what the accountant did or just processed it.
