2017 X1 xDrive. My lease is up.
Hopefully getting M340 xDrive in less than a month. Quite excited. Initially I tried the 330. I made a mistake of trying the S4. I wanted more power but something about the way it handled was too predictable and the power didn’t feel raw. I tried the Tesla Model 3 performance. The 0-60 especially 0-30 was addictive but overall build quality and lack of instrument cluster and head up display started concerning me. Feedback from couple friends and also some of the stories online of waiting for parts for almost half a year after accidents really scared me for my commute [25 miles each way). I hope to be safe but you never know how others drive. I tried M340 couple times right after the Tesla, and I was sold. We already have a Tiguan which is the perfect size for my family. I also don't think a car like new M3 works for me in US with strict speed limits and my back problems. I thought M340 comfort ride was surprisingly smooth almost like a 5 series slightly worse than previous generation E. I really appreciate what Tesla has done for the automative industry in more than one aspect which is electrical (removing the shitty dealership experience, technology, the app). My next car most certainly will be plug in or electric. preferably a sporty plug in with 60 mile range. I think it can be done by my next car 2025 ish |

F34 328GT M Sport with all the toys.
Seats and ride more comfortable than my new G20 330i M Sport with all the toys. Only real regret I have in moving to the G20 is that the boot is a LOT smaller than the F34. - I have to fold down the rear seats to get the golf clubs in.p, wasn't expecting that. Even My pal with a 4 Series convertible can get one set of golf clubs across the tiny boot of that without any issue. Love the technology in the G20 though. |

2017 M2 and 2016 Mazda Miata....daily driving the M2 on poor Baltimore roads was impossible and didn't use the Miata enough.

I have owned an NA, 2 NBs, and an NC Miata over the years. I ended up in the m235i vert (now an m240i) because the NC was getting long in the tooth and my wife wanted me to get a convertible that she and the dog could ride in at the same time :-) But I absolutely love the "mini F-type" look of the ND and keep thinking about going back sometime.

Came from a 2015 VW Golf, 1.6l diesel, manual (kinda sad to see it go in some ways). This is my first BMW; everyone else in my family either has one or used to have one at some point, so I thought why not?

Total different vehicle. Entirely. From cockpit to ride. I love the M340 over the M235 which was a blast to own.

E43
My previous vehicle was AMG E43. I liked the tech in the MB, but the air suspension was awful. In three years of ownership, I dealt with bent rims 4 times. If you accidentally hit a pot hole, you had to go get your teeth reinstalled. That being said, I decided to not lease a new AMG, so I looked at the M340i. As soon as I drove it, I was in love. Best driving sports sedan I’ve ever owned, expect for my 2014 C63. I think the G20 is the perfect size vehicle now that it’s grown to almost the size of the E39 chassis. The older 3s were just a bit too small. I’ve owned several BMW, and not sure why I ever stopped. I’ve had E39 5 series (possibly the apex in BMW car quality), then several 7s after that. I’m glad I’ve come back to BMW. I think I’ll stay in this camp for a while now.

2011 VW GTI. Bought new, drove 9 years - was an awesome DD with no issues other than multiple water pumps. Bought new M340 and then sold the VW cheap (6k) to a friend for his son with 101K miles on it. Engine blew 2 weeks later (likely related to a recall VW never made public). Car was apparently 1K over the extended warranty we weren't aware of. Gave friend back 4K toward an engine so he could offload it, smh. Love the M340 though.

Had a 2015 335 with m performance power kit and m performance exhaust and what a fun car to drive . Sold it last august !
Bought a 2020 m4 manual run car to drive but to me the ride was to harsh with 20”s! Didn’t like as much the Coupe concept (discover that im more a 4door sedan sporty looking cars) Had changes recently in my life so I Swapalease it ! Now I’m a happy owner of a m340i that’s just makes me smile every time I drive it . But there will be always a room in the garage for a an m car in the near future |

I traded a 2016 Golf R 6MT. My wife said it rode too rough, I agree in the sense the ride stiffness did not correspond with the handling and I never really liked the action of the shifter, even after solid bushings. I've owned many previous BMW's including the 2005 ZHP 6MT I still have. I never thought I would succumb to a slushbox, but ZF has perfected it, so no complaints. The xDrive is also faster than the RWD and gets really high MPG. I'm very happy and so is she.

-2016 340, had M performance interior and I miss the alcantara so much, I also miss the feeling of how the car drove once in a while, I miss the thrill of getting the tail end going sideways, but now with x drive I get the thrill of taking off like a little rocket. Performance is a huge improvement, still getting used to front end and regretting not waiting for executive package for headlights, but I'll distract myself with some carbon fiber and wheels.
