Black roof wrap & tinted taillights (new pics)

Got the roof wrapped gloss black and the tail lights tinted (medium tint) today. Was originally going to get the M Performance carbon fiber antenna cover but it was around the same price to just get the whole roof/antenna wrapped black. Hard to see from the pics, but I think it looks really good! Quick question - anyone know what these roof trim pieces are called? The guy didn't wrap these because he said they're too tight of fit to wrap and it wouldn't hold up well. I'm thinking of buying another set already painted black and throwing them on, or maybe taking the current ones off and painting?

Regarding the taillights, also love how they turned out. The taillights and reflectors are both medium darkness tint. Lights off they look dark and pretty sweet; with the lights on they look stock.

Also did a polish with my new polisher this weekend. First time I ever used one but it made a big difference. Used the chemical guys VSS Scratch & Swirl remover. Highly recommend!

Roof would look much better if you wrap the side strips also. Guy that did my roof on old 328 had no problem snapping them out & wrapping them (I think he used a thinner grade of vinyl for the strips vs. the actual roof), but removing them & painting gloss black is also a good option

Actually, on my 328 I ended up getting the entire roof painted gloss black as I found that over time the Gloss Black vinyl had a lot of evident swirl marks no matter how careful I was (looked like a$$). The vinyl is no where near as resistant to swirls vs. factory clearcoat paint

From what I've seen online; looks like about half of the installers wrap the side strips and half don't. I contacted IND who I got my painted reflectors/emblems from and they're able to sell me a set of the strips painted gloss black so may go that option and then just hang on to or sell the strips I have now. I think if I tried to paint myself they may not turn out good. I'll keep that in mind regarding the swirls and try to be extra careful washing etc. and hope it holds up for a while.

Go for it! $160 for tinting the taillights + rear reflectors.

Got the roof trim pieces painted gloss black; definitely looks cleaner up close with the trim pieces matching the roof.

Man I wanna see it with tints on. You ever end up tinting them?

Tinting what? The headlights? I didn't; just the tail lights
