Sorry for not elaborating. The I-Drive controller is located further back on the console to accommodate the manual shift lever vs. where its placed right next to the shift lever if the car has the automatic trans.

Looking forward to g20 loaner car. Maybe I'll get one with Apple car play. Not looking forward to decrease in performance but at least no more 320.

Agreed, 320 was an embarrassment. Really just for someone who had to have a BMW badge no matter what

It's now in the idrive menu, just like the other newer BMWs.
I was speaking of the horizontal knob that controls the temperature of the central air vents independent of the a/c system. You mean that quick, simple knob function is now buried in the iDrive menu? Ugh.

BTW, I had a 3 Series loaner early last year, but otherwise the newest BMW I've driven is my 2016 2 Series so I'm a little behind with the newer BMWs
Yes. I had a new X3 loaner and found it in the new iDrive menu. My 2016 M3 still has the manual knob. I agree, burying it is not ideal for how often I adjust that knob.

I would never purchase it if it was made in Mexico, one on principle two because they make absolute SHIT stuff, period!

The bread-and-butter 3 Series should always be made in Germany, period!

If BMW needs more plants to make the new 3 Series for the North American marketplace have it made at the BMW US Manufacturing Plant in Greer, South Carolina! Their production and final product is now up to par.

The Volkswagen Jetta is made in Mexico and it is a total unreliable piece of SHIT! My neighbor used to have one, it was constantly going in for service.

I do have to agree, Mexican made VAG products are shit. Even Golf R is made in Germany to make sure it's made right (well as much as possible)

Ah, good catch.

BTW, some of the interior in the first post pics are obviously inaccurate as they lack any lever whatsoever...

I would rather get a CPO 330 for the same price as new 320.

Trump has signed the new nafta agreement so this paved the way for Mexican 330 sold here but closes the door on Chinese 330.

Irritating that I was forced to select a sunroof to get electric seats and nasty belts / adaptive suspension to get the brakes. Plus missing quite a few F30 options...

A 320d xDrive MSport with regular paint and regular leather came to over £50k .

I got a 335d xDrive MSport 6 months ago with every option bar sunroof and towbar including full individual merino interior and it was £56k list!
Yes... like you I’m in the UK & I’ve just priced a 330i M Sport which comes at a touch under £41k before options added!!

When I bought my current 340i M Sport 18 months ago it was listed at under £39k and I paid £31k...

Part of the reason is you are forced to have the £1800 technology pack with full digital displays etc... something which doesn’t interest me at all... only other option is the Sport, which I don’t like the look of...

Being in two minds already over this new one because of the fairly substantial size increase , I think the price hike has just about made my mind up!

people seem to be pretty happy with the new Q5... so maybe they figured that out.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I find it to be boring.

You said you refuse to buy a car made in Mexico on principle but you never said what that principle is. What exactly do you mean?

Volkswagen? Weren't they the people involved with cheating emissions tests in the US? I personally would never buy a car from a company acccused of and having to admit to such glaring fraud.

The real blame for producing shitty automobiles should not go to the country where it was built. It instead must lie with manufacturers who should have total control of the situation. They and they alone should bear total responsibility over what they produce. In this case, the cause of lousy automobiles being produced wasn't Mexico or its workers. It was Volkswagen to whom "quality control" seemed to be a couple of meaningless words. Quaity control in Mexican factories must be just as strict as it is in German factories.

Not a fan of the front fascia (or rear fascia for that matter) - too many lines, scoops, vents etc. That crease that goes from the bumper to the headlight on the M-Sport... yuck

Does anyone know if the T-vents on the white press car are going to be the standard front bumper?

I'm hoping for a toned-down look on luxury line and/or hybrid 330e.
