225/40/19 Square Setup Michelin PS4S Pressure

Has anyone switched from OEM 225/40/19 square RFT's (Bridgestone Turanza) to the same size Michelin PS4S (non-RFT)?

Trying to get an idea on what pressures to run. Door pillar indicates 35 PSI front 42 PSI rear for the OEM RFT's..

Thanks!

Joe

I have done this - and ran the same tire pressure which I believe is recommended. There's no need to change the pressure up or down for the RFT vs Non-RFT.

Same. I use non-RFT PS3+s and run the same pressure. I didn't even think of the fact that it might be different for RFT Vs non-RFT. Again. The iDrive shows a different recommended pressure compared to the door sill.

Quick ik question I have the bridgetone turanza L100 RFT and just got a flat, do you recommend switching to non-run flats? if yes Which tires

Switching all 4 tyres is worth it. Downside is there's no spare and you'll have to carry a tyre kit in your car. But yes. My non-RFTs are really nice and I'm guessing the new PS4s are even better (I have the PS3+s).

Thanks! I’ll run at 35 front 42 back per the door sill.

Since I put the summers on Idrive no longer shows recommended pressures. The only summer option to select is for a staggered setup.

Appreciate the input!

100%. My ‘20 had Pirelli RFT’s which I didn’t mind.

The ‘21 had the same Bridgestones that were atrocious, handling seemed much worse.

Swapping to the Michelin non-RFT’s made a huge difference. I bought the BMW mobility kit for ~ $140 and keep it in the trunk in case of any issues.

I have never gone through this process, but the BMW automatic setup for tires is designed to read the QR code for the tires and then set all the parameters based on the code. It should then automatically display the recommended inflation pressure when you check pressures with iDrive.

There is also a manual tire setup option, but I don’t know what parameters are needed for input.
