Shouldn't be any coding involved for paddle shifters. If you're replacing the steering wheel, you can pop off the existing paddles and put them onto your new wheel. That should be all that's needed.

I recently did a m steering wheel retrofit on my sportline g20. I didnt have paddles as well.

you need to do a simple one line wiring from SLZ(pin 3) - BDC(pin 5).

Then I have VO coded 2TB sport automatic transmission with Esys.

That is all.

Could you go more in-depth as to the wiring like location of control modules and how to get to them? I’m looking into this retrofit now it’s spring. Just need to know how to do the wiring.

Hi, I’m very interested too. I have a g20 and I would like to retrofit my present wheel (no paddles) with a new one with paddles. The problem of course is not to mount the new steering wheel (there are plenty tutorial on the web) but I’m wondering if I have to code too and how. Thanks

Hi;

I´m also interested on this topic.

I think i´ve found some useful information about paddle retrofit, but still missing the wire/harness

https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/g...s-2te.1374813/

Does anyone of you have any progress on this topic?

Best regards.
