2021 G22 NA tail light to Euro style?

Just wondering if the North American style tail light has the same hardware as Euro style for 2021 G22. Is it possible to code the signal to be the tiny line instead of blinking the braking light itself.

The hardware ie Tail lights are not the same. Coding alone doesn't work.

If the G22 design philosophy is the same as that of the G20, it may be possible.

I was able to code the EU taillight behaviour (separate the brake from turn signal) in my NA M340iX tail lights before installing the EU tail lights.

For your M340i?

Please read through the thread I linked to in my previous post.

FYI, I used Tokenmaster 3.7Launcher/Esys when I uncovered and coded the EU tail light functionality for my vehicle.

The actual parameter names and values may differ depending on which Launcher/version (TM, EsysX, EsysPlus...) is used, as I discovered from reading other member's posts in this thread.

It linked to a single post so I didn’t see the thread. I see them now! Thanks!

Also, to get the rear fog working will require additional wiring and a new headlight switch.

Unfortunely the hardware is different for 4 series. For the G22/82/83 tail lights, the red section is always on and we are missing a seperate thin red section that is present for 3 series. You would need new hardware and wiring to seperate the brake lights.

What a bummer. Its so sad to know that BMW actually made different tail lights for N.A. models..

Only thing missing is rear fog, and amber turn signals. If you VO code the rear taillights to be ECE, then they will work very similar. Small red line on bottom of taillights work as blinkers now without using the brake lights.

That is what i am trying to achieve. But looks like the light housing is missing the physical signal strip.
