I have a a Canadian kombi in my m440i and want to change the symbols for the Parking brake from (P) to the words 'PARK' like in the USA version. I've been using the BimmerCode app full version. And the OBD link CX. I've been able to change many things but can't seem to change that yet.

I tried changing country export from Kanada to US. It didn't do anything. Wondering if anyone might know what I could do? Or where in the expert mode I could find the byte to change?

I've attached pic of my dash and then a pic of a dash from the USA to compare.

I'd be willing to pay an expert for their advice if they know.

i sugges you use Esys for this , Bimmercode would not help . if need help pm me

Okay, thanks for the tip. I have downloaded E-sys 3.27.1 version and Esys Launcher Pro on to my laptop. But realize I don't have BMW E-net cable. I just ordered online, should come in the mail within a couple days

Just curious, Is Esys 3.27 with launcher pro ideal or will I need EsysX for this since it is a G series ?

EsysX is not on sale anymore , Launcher 3.7 would not work properly on G serries SP18 , but there is Esys Plus , i m using it over 3 years. good software . i l provide you download links if need

Hello, I hope this message finds you well! Did you ever have any success on this? I am trying to do the same exact thing as you are with the brake icons! I am coding the kombi one by one and have been at it for a full week with no success. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated! Plz help lol

all process would be more easier with ESYS instead of bimmercode

You can use BimmerCode:

CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F13_ABS: nicht_aktiv [00]
CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F2_GURT: nicht_aktiv [00]
CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F41_ABS_SCHRIFT: aktiv [01]
CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F42_ABWL: nicht_aktiv [00]
CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F43_BRAKE_SCHRIFT: aktiv [01]
CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F61_PARK_SCHRIFT: aktiv [01]
CC_KL_PREDRIVE_F62_PARK: nicht_aktiv [00]

If it won’t work try also these are:

CC_KL_MASKIERUNG_0: us
CC_KL_MASKIERUNG_1: us

This will add “BRAKE” and “ABS” signs as well.
