Exactly..thanks, then that might be the way to go. Need something more durable on the rear without sacrificing performance. Gotta be something.

I could add some user experiences with mixing tyres... but suffice to say, it is not always a good move. I'm aware of BMW and Michelin getting involved with user cars, only to find the solution was simply keeping with one tyre brand and spec'. |

BTW... just following the trouble shooting process on rapid wear. Are those with rapid wear also suffering EV range issues? Rapid tyre wear due to poor suspension settings uses more energy to get along. Tyres can literally be scuffed off. That costs mpg, or EV range.

@higlandpete ‘Out of interest, what's the tread wear rating on the tyres, current fitted to the 330e?’
Where do I find the tread wear rating? Is it on the tyre? |

@HighlandPete
My 330e is running Pirelli P7 Cinturato and is marked as Treadwear 320 - Traction AA - Temperature A. I have 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 if that’s relevant. I’m also not sure having only done 2,700 miles that the rate of wear can be accurately judged yet. Finally I’m lucky that mine is a company car but I’d also be concerned if I was paying for tyres as it does seem, on a small sample, to a bit heavy on tyre wear. |

So many variables here its hard to get an idea if this is a fixable issue just by switching tyres, or something more in the design/setup of the car.
Is it just RFTs people seeing issues on? Seems they have a bad reputation for wear anyway. Problem doesn't seem to be isolated to the 330e, but then still not convinced that's the case.

yes what I'm saying is those wheels do not come with run flats now. Obviously they used to, but no longer. Those wheels now come with normal tyres and a mobility kit. That's what's on my order and also per the brochure.

I wonder why they changed that, must save some cost? The car is a March 2019 so early build. |

I don't know why they changed - the 17" and 19" both still come with run flats and from a manufacturer perspective when buying tyres in such volume I'd imagine putting the motability kit costs more. No idea why it changed but I'm quite happy to go with "normal" tyres.

What we also need to know, is the new tread depth. It is not always 8mm as many assume. Some new tyres are ~7mm. |
