Goodbye: Traded my M440i convertible for a Boxster 25
I had ordered a 2023 M440i convertible to use in Florida where I live seasonally. Sweet car but then I had it shipped to my NH residence. Backroads, it was not much fun. So I ended up trading it for a 2022 Boxster 25 manual with the 4 liter flat six. I had a 981 Boxster S before and then a 911 4s before my BMW. I guess I missed a small sports car and never quite connected with the BMW. Engine was fantastic as was the tech and the comfort but it felt more like a cruiser. Maybe should have bought a Z4 but no manual. Anyway, 10 months of ownership was quite short and unanticipated. This forum is a great resource and thank you.

I'd have a Boxter 25 with the flat 6 any day over a M440i.
Have any pictures of the Porsche?

Nice, looking to go to a Porsche after I move on from my M340i
Prices seem to have not dropped on the 2nd hand market for these cars. Kicking myself for not getting a 911 before Covid |

Prices are still high for 911s and Boxsters/Caymans with the 4 liter. Mine had an MSRP of 109k with 8.6k miles and I got it for 100k with an extra year of CPO and two new rear tires. Car has full PPF and minimal wear inside. I've put about a thousand miles already. While not as comfortable as my M440i, it is much more engaging to drive. Good luck with your search.

Beautiful new ride! I wound up adding a 718 boxster S to my garage and kept my 330 as my daily driver/winter car. Really wonderful combo.
Also—I guess I have a type |

Sunny Day Toy
My 330ix allows the 911 to be a sunny day toy. As a serial car trader, I just can't part company with the 911. Loving the 3 too, and thinking about buying it off lease. Fun and engaging but low profile enough to park it for a week at a NY airport and not worry about it.
